Tonight I'm thanking God that Red came home from Lewisham a fortnight ago. I think I would've driven through it to get her if she was still there. But please keep her boyfriend, my would-be son-in-law PC Furious in your thoughts tonight....he's been deployed into Central London and I'm hoping more than anything that he stays safe.
What sort of madness has overtaken people?
I hope he's ok. From what I'm seeing/hearing on the news and Twitter, it seems a lot quieter in London tonight.
ReplyDeleteHope he's OK, and so glad you have your daughter safe and sound. xxx
ReplyDeleteHope you are all safe and that this complete madness stops very soon.

These yobs aren't 'people', they're teenagers and children aged 9,10 and 11. There's been a lot of talk about water cannon and plastic bullets being used - pity they aren't planning to use them on these yobs 'parents'.

Not all these 'people' are children or teenagers, some are in there 20's 30's 40's or even older.
ReplyDeleteI hope this crazy madness stops soon before more tragedies happen. Hoping all our loved ones are safe.

Hope he's ok after last night - seems to have calmed somewhat in London although I'm still hearing worrying reports. The police have a hard job to do, as ever.
ReplyDeleteAmen to that. My daughter lives in the same neck of the woods and she says it is all very unreal, lots of tension. She works in the centre of London so has seen it at first hand. When I’m not worrying about her I’m worrying about my son...guess what he does for a living! It all seems to be quieter today so let’s hope we have seen the worst of it.
ReplyDeleteI still can't believe the madness that has taken over people.
ReplyDeleteAs an ex pat, living in Australia, the scenes we see are so sad. It seems the pack mnetality is at it's zenith. Kids who have had no parenting skills are left to do their own thing and unfortunately wreck the lives of many. I send ym thoughts out to your family. I also thing hoodies should be banned, there is something about them that seems to encourage anti-social behaviour. I know this sounds odd, but as a teacher, all the kids who come to school out of uniform wear these items and all of them, without question, are the problem-kids.
ReplyDeleteGood to hear your daughter is safe. I missed all the riots i didn't know a thing about it until i came last Friday. dee x
ReplyDeleteHi love,
ReplyDeleteI have just found your comment in my spam filter and apologise for not getting back to you for the award...thank you.
I am so sorry to read about your dear sister. I wish I could say something to help.
I am also glad like everyone else that the rioting madness has eased. xxx
